Farseer

farseerThis model was my first update to my 6th Edition Eldar.  My other Farseers are over 10 years old and one can not go to war with a wack looking warlord.  I really wanted to carry over the look of my old Farseer from back in the day.  This was also my first paint job of one of GW’s latest plastics. I have to say, I’m really impressed with the quality.  These really are the Cadillac of plastic miniatures.  The edges are sharp, and the intricate multi-part kit goes together smoothly.  It was super easy to paint, but kind of a let down.

A Farseer on foot is tough to play in 6th edition.  At toughness 3, he basically gets insta-gibbed every game.  Too many mid range, S6 weapons out there.  So the best way to field him is mounted on a jet bike.  I currently have one in production now.

As you can see, the progression of my Farseers is pretty crazy.  I don’t know what I was thinking with that first one.  I was probably still searching for a theme.  The second one was painted to match my Avatar, which has been lost to the warp.  I always loved the color scheme, so I decided to carry it through to the current generation.  I think I did a pretty good job interpreting him.  Hope you all enjoy.
